Here is your chance to win a free copy of the Sting . . . All This Time DVD autographed twice by Sting himself courtesy of Message in a Bloggle at Stingfield.com. If you are a Sting fan and have never seen this concert DVD before, you need to immediately go rent it or just buy it (if you don’t win it here first)! It is spectacular for several reasons. First because it was a private performance at Sting’s gorgeous Tuscan villa, and second because it took place on the day of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. This DVD provides behind-the-scenes footage of Sting’s hesitation to perform based on the devastating circumstances of the day as well as all of the musicians’ reactions to the unfolding drama of the terrorist attacks. The decision to go on with the show and the resulting performance is nothing short of emotional and beautifully haunting, making this one of my favorite Sting concert DVD performances.

After “All This Time”, sure hope that I get this “DVD on the Bloggle…” because, ironically, while Sting was contemplating whether or not to perform on 9/11, “After My Departure, I Call To Mynde My Conference.” That morning, I was actually on a plane heading home from a UK business trip. “On Any Other Day”, I would have been just another “Man [With] A Suitcase” but “O My God”, when the “…Pilot” came on about a half-hour off the coast of Greenland and said in a muffley voice “…terrorism…we need to land…”, my now, not-so-”Secret Journey” made me feel even more “Fragile” than ever. Eventually, we made unexpected “Contact” in Gander, Newfoundland. After hearing the unthinkable that the “Towers Tumble[d]” (talk about some REAL prophetic lyrics by Mike Howlett), I spent 3 anxious days away from my wife, my “Friends” and my family wondering if I was “Never Coming Home” or if they “Consider[ed] Me Gone.” But I just kept thinking “We’ll Be Together” soon, so as not to be “Driven to Tears”. My wife, Dina: “She’s Too Good For Me” plus “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” even mapped out an emergency route via a 6-hour Nova Scotia boat ride connecting to a Montreal train just in case I was stranded indefinitely. Good thing I had “Someone to Watch Over Me” who could “Spread A Little Happiness” by reminding me that every day’s a “Brand New Day” and “Tomorrow, We’ll See.” Fortunately, I eventually got home safe and sound “..So Happy, I C[ould]n’t Stop Crying”…Looking back, I guess the whole experience was a combination of “Synchronicity III” and “All For Love”

This is my favorite Sting DVD. Such a well done concert. Fragile is so good and all the songs are familiar and yet seemed like hearing them for the first time. So sad that that day will always be remembered for the horrors of the Twin Towers, The Pentagon, and the crash in Pennsylvania.

I have always loved Sting. To me, he becomes the music. There aren’t seperate people up there, there is just this awe inspiring music that reaches deep down into my soul.
I don’t have any Sting autographs or memorabilia other than t-shirts (and the music, which is the most important stuff), so this would be awesome to have!

I have nothing to say; I’m not going to kiss arse… I just love and have always loved his music. As a musician myself, I can appreciate the nuances and subtleties in his music. That being said, that is all. I need this.

I would SO love to win this! Been a fan for over 2o years and never had a chance to see him live. His lyrics are fantastic and can be poignant and he uses such an eclectic range of styles and rhythms … Fragile, Englishman in New York, Mad About You, Fields of Gold, Hounds of Winter, La Belle Dame sans regrets, Shape of my heart …. and that’s not to even mention his Police repetoire. Such a talented musician and magical crafter of songs

Oh, please, please, please let it be me!!! We’ve seen Sting/The Police quite a few times, most recently in NYC in December 2009 – If On a Winter’s Night. Our son (age 4) LOVES the DVD of the Durham Cathedral performance. He knows every song by heart!! The little man has good taste!!
I love Sting’s music…..it touches you deep in your soul…….and to win an autographed DVD would be another accomplishment I could cross off my “bucket list”!

Few days ago I had an opportunity to visit Tenuta Il Palagio while on my holiday near Florence, Italy- I heard he was not on his farm… I have a dream now-hopefully some day to visit il Palagio,maybe in a concert like ” All this time”….

Hey I love this dvd. Il Palagio was a wonderful location! So great jazz versions of his songs. It’s one of my favourite dvds of sting! Hope I can get it!

I have had the good fortune of seeing Sting live, once in Toronto and twice in London, Ontario. The most recent being with the wonderful orchestra accompanying him! He just keeps getting better and better.

First heard “All this time” CD whilst driving around Tuscany when I lived there. The DVD soon followed; gorgeous art. Gives me goosebumps every time I watch (which is a lot!). I sailed out of New York harbour on the evening of 9/10 on a conference short cruise (3 days) with a shipload of Wall Street bankers…………………couldn’t go back so sailed to Boston instead.
Would so love to win this DVD for my birthday (today!). [This high-voltage emotional blackmail is bound to be a winner.]
