This film is scheduled to be released on September 29 in the US and October 1 in the UK, and Message in a Bloggle will have a review of this ambitious Sting project very soon.
Please note that Twin Spirits is not your average, mainstream movie production, but instead a unique theatrical performance of words, song and music by an ensemble of nine actors, singers and musicians working together to portray the deep and ultimately tragic love story of the composer Robert Schumann and his pianist wife Clara Wieck during the 19th century. Twin Spirits can be compared to a Broadway musical of classical compositions presented in film form, and all proceeds from the sale of this film will benefit the Royal Opera House Education Programmes.

Cathy, I would love to have a copy of Twin Spirits. As you may or may not know, I am very ill. My days of attending concerts or shows like this are over for me. ( I am bedilia on sting.com) I look forward to any dvds that include Sting. I love the story of Twin Spirits. It appeals to the romantic inside of me. So as Shawn and Christopher have said, “pick me, pick .”

I am Sting’s fan about eleven years. I couldn’t live without his music. He has fantastic voice. And he is also a hansome man. He looks very good on picture from this DVD. It would be wonderfully to see and hear him reading Robert Schumann’s letter. Do I have to persuade more that I really want this DVD?

“The Happy Farmer” was one of the first “major” piano pieces that I’d learned to play as a kid. Even though my ability has long since deterioriated due to lack of practice, I can still knock out the first section of that Schumann piece.
