The annual Blessed Sacrament School auction will have something different this year – three architecturally designed and custom built children’s playhouses! Currently you can see two of the three houses in front of the school on the corner of Laurel and Glenwood in Springfield, Illinois. These are beautiful and fun playhouses any child would love to be able to play in! Raffle tickets are being sold for $10 a piece for one of the playhouses; the winner will be drawn on Friday night, September 26 at the Auction Preview Night scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. The winner of the raffle drawing will be able to pick the playhouse of their choice and does not have to be present at the drawing to win. Raffle tickets can be purchased until the drawing on Friday night. Call the school for more information if interested.
The remaining two playhouses will be auctioned off Saturday night during the live auction, starting at 7 p.m at 748 W. Laurel St. in the gymnasium. More information about the Blessed Sacrament Auction on September 27, 2008 is available at their website:

There is also a competitive element to the playhouses, as the children of Blessed Sacrament School will get to vote for their favorite ultimate playhouse! Here’s an update on the Blessed Sacrament School ultimate playhouses. Last night the FWAI/Evans Playhouse was voted the favorite playhouse of the students. Congratulations to FWAI Architects and Evans Construction for all their hard work and effort. Last night the raffle winner was drawn for one of the playhouses, and the winner chose the FWAI/Evans playhouse. Now the two remaining playhouses will be up for auction tonight in the live auction at Blessed Sacrament School.
