It’s three John Mayer for the price of one with his new release “Where The Light Is”, and this CD is a musical bargain at any cost. I just got this live CD and can’t stop listening. “Where The Light Is” reminds me why I love John Mayer’s music so much. It’s a live performance from LA with three separate sets, starting with an acoustic set, moving to the John Mayer Trio and ending with his full band. John Mayer is in fine form here, his voice is absolutely perfect, as is his guitar playing. My favorite set by far is the acoustic one, and I adore his version of Tom Petty’s Free Fallin’. His guitar must have been smoking during the Trio set, he is on fire here! John Mayer just keeps getting better and better, and I always look forward to his next project. Continue on with your musical journey, John Mayer, and I will follow. I’ll tell you where the light is, it’s definitely shining right on John Mayer and will be for a very long time.
