Duel of the Duo Davids American Idol Top Two

I’m predicting, as I have all along, that the final two in American Idol will be David Archuleta and David Cook. I thought Syesha did a fabulous job last night with her three songs, and like usual the judges were way too hard on her. It’s obvious they want the two Davids showdown also, and are ready to throw Syesha under a bus to make sure it happens that way.

All along I’ve been rooting for David Archuleta, but last night I suddenly had a change of heart. I just might want David Cook to win now! Why is that? I started thinking about buying a David Archuleta album and listening to 12 or more “gooey” love songs or ballads and suddenly I felt rather ill. I wouldn’t buy an album like that! I would buy an album with rock songs and a few love songs or ballads thrown in for good measure – and David Cook could put an album out like that.

I’ll be happy with a win by either David. David Cook is more marketable and could probably sell more records. David Archuleta’s voice is so absolutely beautiful that he deserves a win too. The final showdown should be interesting. And if by some crazy American vote Syesha stays in for the finale, she absolutely deserves it in my opinion too.

We’ll see tonight, but I voted for the two Davids last night!
