I was really rooting for Ozzy from Survivor 16 Micronesia this season, but knew it was going to be hard for him to win. I was so sorry to see him voted off this week, then I watched his final words and felt that my support for him was misplaced. I even watched it over again several times on the CBS Survivor website. He starts out as the Ozzy I wanted to win by saying
“I’m an idiot . . . I should have seen it coming . . . I don’t blame you guys for voting me out . . . that’s the way this game goes.”
I’m thinking, great Ozzy! Keep your head up and take responsibility for what happened. But then he said
“So whoever voted for me, screw you basically . . . . . Whoever voted against me right now, I pretty much hate you.”
That’s just wrong and confusing! Is Ozzy blaming himself or others when he just said that it’s a game and that’s just the way it goes? I thought it was a poor final statement and ended badly. I feel like I’ve been duped! I thought more of Ozzy and expected him to take the high road, instead he went slinking through the muddy low road. So after all that, I’m glad he’s gone now. I think I’ll put my support behind James or Amanda now. Here’s Ozzy’s final words from the CBS Survivor site:
